How wake-relative tasks work
A task can be anchored to a clock time (“08:00”) or to your wake time (“+2h”). A wake-relative task has no time at all until you tap I WOKE UP — that is deliberate. RanPlan will not guess when you got up, so before the tap you see “+2h” rather than an invented time, and nothing fires.
I woke up hours ago and forgot to tap
Tap the wake button and choose set the time to enter when you actually woke. Everything recalculates from that.
I never sleep at the same time
That is the point. A plan day in RanPlan starts at 04:00, not midnight, so finishing something at 01:30 still counts as the day you have been living. You can change that hour in Settings.
Replanning
If you miss something that is marked Movable, RanPlan offers to move it to the next gap it genuinely fits in, working around anything that cannot move. It shows you the proposal first and nothing changes until you tap Apply. Only today changes — the task keeps its normal rules for tomorrow.
Tasks are not movable unless you say so. Medication set for 08:00 stays at 08:00.
It says “Today’s full”
There was no gap long enough before your evening cutoff, so it refused rather than putting your gym session at 02:40. Change the cutoff in Settings, shorten the task’s duration, or move it to tomorrow.
Widgets and Apple Watch
Widgets show “+2h” until you tap I WOKE UP, then real times. If a widget looks stale, open RanPlan once — iOS decides how often widgets refresh. The watch needs the iPhone app opened once to receive your plan; until then it says so rather than showing an empty day.
Notifications aren’t arriving
Check iOS Settings → Notifications → RanPlan is allowed, and that a Focus mode or Low Power Mode is not suppressing them. Alarms set to break through silent still obey Do Not Disturb unless you allow RanPlan there.
Subscriptions and refunds
Manage or cancel at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. We cannot cancel or refund for you — only Apple can. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you have paid and Pro is not active, use Restore purchases in Settings.
Your data
Everything stays on your device. Deleting the app deletes your plan and journal, and there is no backup on our side because there is no server. See the privacy policy.
Still stuck
Email hello@ranplan.app with your device and iOS version and what you expected to happen. A screenshot helps.
