What you write in RanPlan stays on your device. There is no account to create and no server of ours for your plan to be sent to. Your tasks, routines, wake times and journal are not collected, not analysed and not shared with anyone.

One thing does leave, and it is worth being exact about it. RanPlan runs adverts, and it measures whether those adverts led to installs. That measurement is described in full under Advertising measurement below. It never includes anything you have written in the app, and you can decline it.

What stays on your device

Your tasks, routines, wake times, journal entries and settings are stored on your device. On iPhone they are also written to a shared container on the same device so the RanPlan widgets and Apple Watch app can read them, and sent directly to your paired Apple Watch. None of that leaves your devices.

Calendar and Reminders

If you connect them, RanPlan reads your chosen calendars and reminder lists so those items appear beside your plan, and, for reminders you pick, writes a completion back when you tick one. This happens on your device, through the calendar system your phone already has. We never see it.

Notifications

Reminders and alarms are scheduled locally by your phone. RanPlan sends no push notifications, so there is no push token and no notification server.

Purchases

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled by Apple on iPhone and by Google Play on Android. We never see your payment details. Purchase status is verified through RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous identifier and the receipt the store issues so the app knows whether Pro is active. It is not linked to your name, your email or anything you write in RanPlan.

Advertising measurement

RanPlan buys adverts, and it needs to know which ones worked. It uses Meta's SDK for this, so Meta is a recipient of the data described here. There are no adverts inside RanPlan itself, on any plan.

This section applies to the iPhone app only. The Android app measures nothing and sends nothing to Meta. It does not read your advertising ID, and it does not ask to. Everything below describes iOS.

Two separate mechanisms are involved, and only one of them asks you.

If you allow tracking

When you finish setting the app up, iOS asks whether RanPlan may track you across other apps and websites. If you say yes, Meta receives your device's advertising identifier, and two events: that a free trial began, and that a subscription was purchased, each with the amount. That is the complete list. Your tasks, routines, journal, wake times and calendar are never included and never sent.

If you decline

Nothing above is collected, and nothing in the app changes. Apple still tells Meta that an install happened, through a system called SKAdNetwork. That is sent by Apple rather than by us, it contains no identifier for you or your device, and it cannot be switched off by either of us. It reports a count, not a person.

Changing your mind

Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Tracking. Turning RanPlan off there stops the collection described above at any time, and you do not need to tell us.

Children

RanPlan is not directed at children under 13 and collects nothing from anyone, of any age.

Your rights

Everything you write in RanPlan stays on your device, so there is nothing of that kind for us to export or delete. Deleting the app removes it. On iPhone, the advertising identifier described above sits with Meta rather than with us, and you can withdraw it at any time in iOS Settings, or ask Meta directly through their own tools. On Android there is nothing of the sort to withdraw. Under the GDPR and the CCPA you are entitled to request access to or erasure of personal data a company holds about you; write to hello@ranplan.app and we will answer within 30 days.

Changes

An earlier version of this policy said RanPlan collected nothing at all, and promised that any material change would be stated rather than made quietly. This is that statement. On 24 August 2026 advertising measurement was added, exactly as described above, and the app now asks your permission for it the first time you finish setting it up. Nothing about what you write in RanPlan changed, then or now.

On 26 August 2026 RanPlan came to Android. The Android app collects less than the iPhone one, not more: it has no advertising measurement at all, which is why the section above now says so plainly. The only thing that leaves an Android device is the same purchase check described under Purchases.

The same promise still stands for anything that comes next. If a future version syncs across devices through a server, or collects anything not listed on this page, the app will say so before it is switched on.
